On the 21st of June 21, TfL has signed 20 years concession agreement with BAI Communications Ltd to deliver Telecommunications Commercialisation Programme, which is externally funded with the investment of more than £1 billion, and also part of the bigger Mayoral vision on Connected London. Zairo Zainul will give the overview of the programme scope, the technical challenges and constraints in the introduction of the new digital infrastructures in TfL estates. Haider Gilani will cover the future capability of the new digital infrastructure to provide services to support future LU operational systems.
Haider Gilani is currently Principal Engineering Leader for Radio Systems at Transport for London.
Previously Haider has held various engineering roles in public and private sector delivery projects across the globe and has extensive experience in network planning, deployment, testing, optimisation and benchmarking.
Zairo Zainul is currently Principal Project Engineer at TfL on the Telecommunications Commercialisation Project. He has several years of experience working at TfL for Major Operational and Telecommunication projects as well as roles across the industry including Network Rail.
