A presentation on the Bank Station Capacity Upgrade (BSCU) focussing on works to date, remaining works and envisaged benefits to customers. The presentation will focus on:
• The need for an upgrade at Bank and the scope to deliver benefits
• Some of the technical challenges
• How the works are being delivered, including focus on the 17 week Blockade
• The remaining works & programme
BSCU commenced in summer of 2013 & is now approaching completion. This presentation with give an insight to the project and an update on the ongoing works to enable completion.
Tamer Abdelhamid is a Principal Project Engineer & CEng Mechanical Engineer, working on BSCU for the past 8 years. He has 20 years experience working on multi-disciplined railway projects, including rolling stock, depots, stations and infrastructure.
Jason Benka is a Senior Project Manager with over 15 years’ experience of delivering high profile, multi-disciplined rail projects. Jason’s most recent role was leading on the 17 week closure of the Northern Line to deliver a new Northern Line running tunnel, platform and associated railway systems.
