Speaker biography:

Mark is currently Programme Delivery Manager for the Piccadilly Line Upgrade (PLU) Train Systems Sub-Programme. His career has seen him design locomotive bogies and structures from British Rail (classes 60 and 92), New Zealand (Class 30) and the Channel Tunnel (Le Shuttle) and project manage and deliver into service metro driverless trains for Singapore (North East Line), a rubber tyre metro in Santiago Chile and the Victoria Line 09 Tube Stock. A career that has literally taken him around the world.

In 2004 Mark joined Metronet as a Senior Project Manager (SPM) for the Victoria Line and having delivered it into service in 2009, gathered up all of the lessons learnt from countless other programmes to work with Kevin Moore in the Sponsor community to pick up where the EVO Study finished and create the Deep Tube Programme, later New Tube for London and now the Deep Tube Upgrade Programme.
