Applying information and communication technologies to all modes of transport can make transport safer, more efficient and more sustainable. Thus, Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) are becoming increasingly indispensable to ensuring safety and tackling London’s emission and congestion challenges. Moreover, the integration of existing technologies can create new services and support growth in the sector while creating new jobs. In this presentation, we’ll give a high level overview on some of the work we do at Transport for London in the arena of intelligent transport systems covering areas like Telecommunication Systems, Traffic Control and some Connected Vehicles trial that we’ve been involved with.
